Meet Dr. Luis Ramírez, DDS
Luis Ramírez was born in Guatemala City in 1971, he attended the Austrian School in Guatemala and Graduated with a Trilingual (German, English and Spanish) Bachelors Degree.
Dr. Ramirez graduated from the San Carlos State University and earned his DDS Title, he then received his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Training in the General Trauma Hospital, in Guatemala City. Dr. Ramirez did a Fellowship in Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery under world renowned surgeon Dr. Rodolfo Asensio in Antigua Guatemala. Dr. Ramirez specialized in Facial Orthopedics and Orthodontics in Mexico and recently finished his Fellowship in Orthognathic Surgery under Dr. Joachim Obwegeser in the University Hospital in Zurich, Switzerland.
Dr. Ramirez does continued education courses in Europe, where he has studied
Distraction Osteogenesis (Cologne, Germany 2002 with Prof. Dr. Joachim Zöller), Bone Regeneration and PRGF (Vitoria, Spain 2004 with Dr. Eduardo Anitua), Diplomat in Dental Implants (Mexico and Spain 2006).
Dr. Ramirez has lectured in Guatemala, Mexico, Costa Rica and Switzerland.
Dr. Ramirez is married to Karina Ramirez who is a Physiotherapist who helps incapacitated children in Guatemala City, and together they have two daughters: Jennifer and Cristina.
